After a long and unreasonably wet spring season, summer could be held back no further and has graciously claimed its throne. Though the angler’s patience may be exasperated from a robust year for rain and runoff, their endurance will be rewarded by the beginnings to a full season of blue-ribbon trout fishing.

“I’m stuck!” Every five minutes I hear this plaintive cry from my eight-year-old daughter. She isn’t complaining, but rather laughing as she is up to her waist in champagne powder. It’s just another day of spring skiing at Snowbird.
For those who haven’t had enough skiing or boarding this season, Snowbird in Utah offers excellent conditions six hours away.
Big Sky Hiking Schedule
Welcome all residents and visitors to Big Sky and Gallatin Canyon
Meeting Place and Time: Big Sky Hikers meet each Thursday morning, at the Big Sky Community Park, located on Little Coyote Road next to the Golden Eagle Lodge. A hikers will DEPART from here at 8:00 am, B hikers at 8:30, and C hikers at 8:30 unless otherwise noted. Please gather there at least 15 minutes earlier, sign up for the hike, meet your group and help prepare for a prompt departure. Transportation to the trailhead will be organized by car-pooling in each group. Roads to some trailheads will require four wheel drive vehicles with adequate ground clearance.
