Dear Editors
Due in large part to the efforts of Ryan Hamilton, Big Sky Town Center, the WyldLife car wash held Saturday was extremely successful. We want to offer a special thank you to Ryan for going above and beyond the call of duty in assisting us. Alpine Property Management also contributed to the success of the car wash. And the Big Sky Water and Sewer District made it possible for us to have the source of water. Thank you for all your generosity. The proceeds are to be used to help the middle school students who participate in WyldLife throughout the school year attend a week of Camp in Oregon this summer.
We want to thank all those in our community who came out and generously supported this most worthwhile program.
Sincerely,
The WylfLife Committee, Leaders
and students
Defenders of Wildlife’s Dr. Roger Schlickeisen says “we could lose 40% of all our species”
As you already know Dr. Kay, the American taxpayer is paying Defenders of Wildlife {alone} $30 million a year to spew this sort of hysterical propaganda thanks to 501 (c) 3 of the U.S. tax code. Contrary to popular belief ,a substantial amount of those tax free receipts to DOW { meaning the taxpayer picked up the tab} can be used to bribe state & federal elected officials ( i.e. Gov B rian Schweitzer and his F&G Commission ). and subsequently create public policy without legislation , public participation or even public awareness thanks to the corporate controled media monopoly.
A couple of those public policies are; 1) the end of hunting & ranching using predators as bio weapons, 2) global warming and associated associated Cap & Trade taxation on the poor and associated $10 trillion in derivatives trading and 3) the Y2Y “Wildlands Project” which clears the Intermountain West of all human beings.

The Big Sky Community Corporation held their annual fundraiser event July 9th at the 320 Ranch, with all proceeds benefitting the Big Sky Community Park. This year, the evening was twofold; the evening started off with a dinner and silent auction with guest speaker Craig Mathews, co-founder of 1% for the Planet. The BSCC is a non-profit member of 1% for the Planet, receiving donations from commercial members such as Highline Partners who are committed to donating 1% of their profits to environmental organizations. As the dinner ended, the music started, initiating the second part of the evening with a concert by the Dirty Shame. Supporters of the BSCC were able to attend all or part of the evening, which allowed for a larger crowd than in years past. Shuttle services were provided by Big Sky Shuttle to ensure everyone was able to have a good time, while still arriving home safely at the end of the night. The BSCC grossed $64,000, inclu
Letter to the Editors
Dear Editors,
We have all witnessed people thanking and praising their local fire department with saving, or trying to save, their homes from the devastation of fire. It has always been in my imagination of the situation until Monday morning when I received a call from a friend passing the ruins of a residence two doors down from my canyon cabin; literally, a stone throw away. Our Big Sky Fire Department, along with our neighboring departments within a 40 mile radius, responded to the inferno of a well-seasoned, Karst cabin that burned to the ground on an almost windless night. Luckily, no one was hurt, except for the assuming demise of countless pack rats and mice. Naturally, it terrified the neighborhood and residents.
